Dexter® Brake Shoe & Lining Kit

Genuine Dexter® brake shoe and lining kits from Southwest Wheel® replace the worn primary and secondary shoes on Dexter electric and hydraulic drum brakes. Each kit is made to the original Dexter shoe profile so the lining contacts the drum correctly and the adjuster and springs still line up on the backing plate.

Match the Dexter kit to drum size, electric or hydraulic style, stamped or cast backing plate, and left or right side. Dexter recommends replacing all shoes on an axle at the same time so both wheels apply evenly. After installation, adjust or verify the self-adjuster and burnish the new lining with a series of moderate stops before returning the trailer to full load.
