Match the Dexter kit number to the brake size and style: 7", 10", 12", or 12-1/4", electric or hydraulic, left or right where required. Replace magnets and shoes in pairs on the same axle so both wheels apply evenly. If the backing plate, lever arm, or drum is damaged, a complete Dexter brake assembly is usually the better repair.
