Genuine Dexter® brake retrofit kits from Southwest Wheel® convert or update an existing Dexter axle instead of replacing the whole axle. Use these OEM kits to add electric brakes to an idler axle, install Dexter disc brakes on a compatible drum-brake axle, or replace magnet arms, actuator arms, springs, and adjusters on current Dexter brakes.

Confirm axle capacity, bolt circle, bearing series, and left or right side before ordering. Disc retrofit kits typically include the caliper hardware and mounting parts, not the hub and rotor. After a hydraulic or disc conversion, bleed the system and use the recommended DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid. Replace both sides of an axle at the same time for even braking.
