Genuine Dexter® 12-1/4" x 4" shoe and lining kits from Southwest Wheel® replace the worn shoes on Dexter 10,000 lb. Heavy Duty electric and hydraulic trailer brakes. These OEM kits restore lining contact on 12-1/4" x 4" drums used with Dexter 10K HD cast or earlier stamped backing plates.

Match the Dexter kit to electric vs. hydraulic, stamped vs. cast backing plate, and left or right side. 12-1/4" x 4" shoes are not interchangeable with 12-1/4" x 3-3/8" General Duty or 12-1/4" x 5" 12K-15K shoes. Replace shoes in pairs on the same axle so both wheels apply evenly, then adjust the brakes and burnish the new lining with moderate stops.
