Genuine Dexter® 12-1/4" x 3-3/8" shoe and lining kits from Southwest Wheel® replace the worn shoes on Dexter 8,000 lb., 9,000 lb., and 10,000 lb. General Duty electric and hydraulic trailer brakes. These OEM kits restore lining contact on 12-1/4" x 3-3/8" drums used with stamped or cast Dexter backing plates.

Match the Dexter kit to electric vs. hydraulic, stamped vs. cast backing plate, and left or right side. 12-1/4" x 3-3/8" shoes are not interchangeable with 12-1/4" x 2-1/2", 4", or 5" shoes. Replace shoes in pairs on the same axle so both wheels apply evenly, then adjust the brakes and burnish the new lining with moderate stops.
