Dexter® 12 ¼ Hydraulic Brake Assemblies

Genuine Dexter® 12-1/4" hydraulic brake assemblies from Southwest Wheel® are complete OEM backing-plate units for heavy-duty trailer axles from 8,000 lbs. through 15,000 lbs. Each assembly includes the backing plate, shoes and lining, wheel cylinder, springs, and hardware so you can bolt it to the axle flange and connect the brake line without rebuilding the old brake.

Match the assembly to your drum width, axle rating, bolt pattern, and left or right side. Replace brakes in pairs on the same axle so both wheels apply evenly. After installation, bleed the hydraulic system and fill the actuator with the recommended DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid. Confirm shoe and cylinder part numbers before ordering, because 3-3/8", 4", and 5" drums are not interchangeable.
