Dexter® 8K Hub Kit

Shop genuine Dexter® 8K hub kits at Southwest Wheel® for 8,000 lb. idler trailer axles. These OEM hubs replace a worn 8K wheel end on an unbraked axle. Common kits use an 8 on 6.50" bolt circle, a 4.75" pilot, and 5/8"-18 or 9/16"-18 studs with a grease cap and seal. Use an 8K hub-drum kit when the axle has brakes.

An 8K idler hub does not include a brake drum. Confirm stud size, nut style, and whether the axle is grease or oil before ordering. Do not mix an 8K hub with a 7K or 9K-10K GD hub. After install, set Dexter bearing preload and torque the lug nuts to the wheel manufacturer’s spec.
