Dexter® 8K Hub-Drum Kit

Shop genuine Dexter® 8K hub-drum kits at Southwest Wheel® for 8,000 lb. braked trailer axles. These OEM hub-drums replace a worn or cracked 8K drum so the shoes have a true braking surface. Common kits use an 8 on 6.50" bolt circle and a 4.75" pilot, with 5/8"-18 or 9/16"-18 studs, grease or oil lubrication, and cone-nut or flange-nut hardware.

Match stud size, nut style, and grease vs. oil vs. Nev-R-Lube® before ordering. An 8K hub-drum is not a substitute for a 7K 12" x 2" drum or a 9K-10K GD drum. After install, set Dexter bearing preload or follow Nev-R-Lube® instructions, adjust the brakes, and torque the lug nuts to the wheel manufacturer’s spec.
