Dexter® 7K Wheel-Drum Kit

Shop genuine Dexter® 7K wheel-drum kits at Southwest Wheel® for demountable 7,000 lb. UTG trailer axles. These OEM wheel-drums replace a worn Dexter 8-174 demountable drum so the brakes have a true surface and the wheel mounts on the correct pilot. Listed kits are studded and use either a 2.125" or 2.25" seal.

These kits are not the same as Dexter 7K 8 on 6.50" hub-drum kits. Confirm the axle is a demountable UTG / 8-174 style before ordering. After install, set Dexter bearing preload, mount the wheel to the drum manufacturer’s spec, and adjust the 7K brakes.
