Dexter® 2K Hub-Drum Kits

Shop genuine Dexter® 2K hub-drum kits at Southwest Wheel® for 2,000 lb. electric-brake trailer axles. These OEM 7" hub-drums replace a worn or cracked drum on compact Dexter axles so the magnet and shoes have a true braking surface. Kits are commonly 5 on 4.50" with 1/2"-20 studs, sold as a drum only or as a complete kit with seal and grease cap.

Use a hub-drum on a braked 2K axle. An idler hub from the 2K hub category will not give you a braking surface. Match bolt circle, stud style, and whether the kit includes the seal and cap. After install, set Dexter bearing preload, adjust the 7" electric brakes, and torque the lug nuts to the wheel manufacturer’s spec.
